Snowmobiles

Just like the "Quads" page, here you can find any info about my snowmobiles.

1979 Yamaha Enticer 340

Ah, my first snowmobile! I had lots of good times on this one. We bought it in 2003, cleaned it all up, and sent it to a mechanic to make it run. In December 2003, we had it running. That picture is of the first time dad and I rode it. Snowmobiling is big with our family. This was not our family's first sled, the first was an old Chapparral Firebird. My brother found it. I probably wasn't even born yet when they got it. Over the next few years 9 more sleds were collected. Sadly we now only have 2 of our 10 former sleds because 4 got stolen from us (we would have liked to keep 3 of those) and we sold another 4. Anyway, this sled sure is dependable. It's fun just like any snowmobile, but after my dad got an 88 Polaris Indy 400, I realized I'd need something faster. Whenever I ride this sled, I'm amazed how fun it is, but at the same time, kinda slow and fairly tippy. But this sled sure is good for rooster tails! Until recently, this was stored on land that we own 2 hours away from our house, but we just brought it back. It had been sitting up there for 3 years, and this time it barely started so it was good we took it back when we did. I cleaned it all up, went through the carb, and now it runs pretty good. We will be selling it because we really have no use for it and don't want it to just sit and rot. But don't worry, I'll get some good videos and pics before it goes.

1991 Polaris Indy 500

I got this in November 2006 for $485. Indy's are awesome-that's all you really need to know but I'll tell you more anyway. Powerful, very fast, stable, good suspension, good handling, super fun! Kinda heavy but that doesn't matter with all the power at hand. Though heavy, these will go through almost anything and they will keep up with new sleds. I didn't used this sled last winter because now I have another Indy. Also this needs some intake system work as it doesn't run quite right. This winter, I cleaned it all up and went through the carbs and it still doesn't run right. We will be fixing it very soon though as we intend to sell all our snowmobiles except the 2 Indy 500's.

1990 Polaris Indy 500

My brother found this sled for me and we bought it for $450 in October 2009. It came with a bin full of good parts too, some of which are for sale. It's a great sled just like our other Indy's. This one is in almost mint condition, too. It has a single person seat and a low windshield which looks pretty cool. This winter, we put on another bumper that I painted gloss black and I put in custom made hood screens which look pretty cool.
